Bophie understands that consumers may have concerns about product safety.

We strive to ensure the strictest of standards regarding raw materials, the manufacture, and testing of our products so that we can bring all Bophie products to you with confidence.

The Bophie products all undergo product safety research, which covers various lab tests to ensure full compliance with health regulations.

The following tests are part of the Bophie customer safety and product testing:

HRIPT testing

The human repeat insult patch test is a standard clinical test used for personal care and pharmaceutical products. These tests help companies predict the likelihood of any induced allergic contact dermatitis of any topical products. In summary, we check for allergic reactions for your skin.

Integrated test in the customer use environment

The Bophie testing lab carries the ISO/IEC 17025 (2017) certification for best practice in laboratory testing.

Mercury testing

Many skin care products contain mercury to inhibit the formation of melanin. It is explicitly used to lighten the skin. Mercury can be dangerous in high doses.

Irritation and irritability testing

The tests include eye irritation and irritability tests across all the products.

Quality Standards in Packaging Materials

Bophie is committed to ensuring the company does not contribute to the landfill waste that the planet is struggling to contain. Apart from ensuring that the containers that hold our products are put through strict quality control measures, we also have internal quality checks and standards that the packaging needs to obtain before leaving the factory. We contribute to the circular economy with environmentally friendly packaging that can easily be recycled and/or reused.

Sustainable packaging

We make our recycled packaging from sustainable FSC-certified paper, made from plant byproducts of carton boxes. Additionally, Bophie uses paper made from byproducts of plants, including seaweed with recycled pulp, tangerine peels, or sugarcane.
